My favorite things to paint since I was a little girl are flowers. I would spend hours in my room just drawing flowers, all my friends knew that if they came to my house they would get to be creative… nothing has changed 🙂
This painting is the inspiration for today’s post because it’s called Joyful Days. I’ve always been a ‘self-starter’ and a ‘go-getter’, I find it easy to keep myself motivated which is key to running a creative business. I feel so blessed to be able to work from home especially when my kids are here in the summer, but balancing everything is quite a challenge. I have to have LISTS to stay on track (I can’t manage without my lists). I don’t like digital calendars, I have to write everything down or I will forget. Summer is THE MOST challenging time, but is ALWAYS the most joyful because I get to spend time with my kids. I usually work here and there, just fitting in what I can and the rest of the time, we are doing our summer fun. It took me a long time to figure out the best way to balance everything, but it is easier now the kids are older. Summer is coming to an end and we’ve had a lot of JOYFUL DAYS! We have a few more fun days planned, like today we’re off to the beach. They’re always excited to go back to see their friends and I’m excited to get back on track with all my creative ideas bouncing around my head for my next collections. HAPPY Friday and HAPPY weekend!
