This is from my sketchbook… I’m creating a journal for my wonderful husband for Christmas (…he knows about it but he can’t see it till then). I’m having so much fun with it, thinking about all our memories together and how much we’ve grown over the years. Here’s a picture of us when we were younger, he’s English too. We met in England when I was 23 and he was 25… wow that long ago! šŸ™‚ We didn’t have digital or internet back then. haha! Thats why its such a bad copy. Isn’t it funny how one little picture can hold so many lovely memories! Last year in June our lives were changed for good… he was diagnosed with heart disease. His heart was 90% blocked and had to have 4 stents put in his heart to save his life. It was such a shock because he’s so healthy and young to have this. Its hard to even talk about it now, we’ve been together for 21 years… I feel like I’ve grown up with him. Everyday we have to live by faith, that’s what holds me together. I pray everyday for him. He’s doing really good now… he has to take a lot of meds but I’m so thankful for that. Because it is genetic and to support him, as a family we watch what we eat and exercise as much as we can. It really made us realize what’s important in life and how precious it is. Have a blessed day!

Dear Lesley, so very blessed by your sharing. You know as we grow old together as couples, we have a tendency to take life for granted sometimes. I lifted you both in prayer after reading your entry and I believe that our precious Lord is not finished with any of us yet, since we are still here on this earth in these bodies. When He does call us each home in His time, our lives will go on for eternity with HIM because we do know Him personally. You and I may never meet here on this side of heaven and YET, I believe that one day we will know each other fully in HIM! Have a truly blessed day and know that Im so blessed by your sharing!
